The anti-Christmas Scrooges have begun a new war against Jesus and Santa:
apparently Christmas lights and gift shopping are creating Armageddon.

An anti-electricity site wants all of you planet killers to turn into KGB
Scrooges this Christmas by turning in all evil tree-lighting,
home-lighting, Santa-loving, Christmas-spirited energy-wasters destroying
the planet and sinking Polar Bears.  Yes, that’s right; those nasty
holiday cheer-givers lighting up their yards with Christmas décor are
creating global warming and helping promote the end of the world.

According to Energy Justice.net, a site for Santa Police, you should write
all the naughty neighbor’s names on forms and turn in neighbors lighting
up yards, houses, and setting up offensive Christmas displays upsetting
the Al Gore brigade.

Energy Justice claims “The holiday season is upon us, and the North Pole
has issued a plea.  Global warming is threatening Santa’s workshop, and
the elves are worried about having to work in galoshes because of the ice
melting.”  How adorable.

Every year we hear the North Pole is melting, Polar Bears are dying off
(despite proof they are breeding and their population is growing), and
glaciers will soon create a tsunami effect on New York City.  Never mind
the fact the climate changes every four months and four of those months
are nastily cold for many American states, guilting people into giving up
Christmas in order to please global warming Atheists and environmental
lunatics is the real money-maker liberals need in order to retain power.

And Christmas lights are not the only offenses, apparently Christmas
shoppers are destroying Christmas fun by giving gifts!

Economist Joel Waldfogel of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton
School, who wrote the book titled “Scoogenomics: Why You Shouldn’t Buy
Presents For The Holidays,” says Christmas gift-giving is economically bad
for America, because the shopping costs $25 billion per year: “Christmas
shopping is an orgy of wealth destruction.”  Wadlfogel says Americans only
purchase meaningless things loved ones don’t need or want.

In an interview with NPR’s Jennifer Ludden on November 27, 2009, titled
“Is Gift-Giving Bad For The Economy,?” Waldfogel says we Americans should
be purchasing gift cards so our closets aren’t packed with unwanted cloths
and knick knacks we only wind up giving away to charity: “If we have some
big chunk of people in the economy making stuff that get stuck in closets
and never used, that really sounds like a waste of resources to me.
That’s really kind of unfortunate.  It’s a complete waste…”

What about the fact many Americans give last year’s coats to the poor?
Many churches in America have clothing drives for the poor and homeless in
their communities.  Last year’s coats, sweaters, and scarves become warm
gifts to the homeless this year.  That is part of Christmas giving.

The most important gifts Americans give every Christmas are things they
give to the poor.  But Waldfogel does not seem to see this side of gift
purchasing.

Oh the horror!  To have to give last year’s unwanteds to the poor!  Let
the poor buy their own damn coats!

Waldfogel says “Spending is always good for sellers… [but] spending on
holiday gifts…” is never good for the buyer who always receives something
less valuable, and meaningless, to him or her.

Waldfogel should stop speaking for everyone when he has not met everyone.
Most people give what their loved one’s need and want, many give friends
wonderful food gifts, many of those food gifts are homemade.

The attacks on Christmas lights, gifts, and decorations, are just a
further attempt to destroy Christmas.  And it’s not working, Americans are
sick of the Christmas Police and Santa Slayers trying to Atheistize a
nation’s whose First Amendment says “Freedom of Religion” not from
religion.

If we over shop, who cares, what we don’t need we give to the needy.  And
what is so wrong with adding an extra $25 billion to our economy?  If it
is Christmas shopping that is disgusting, if it is the purchasing of a
plane ticket to a G8 or G20 summit protest, that is wonderful, because you
might be protesting the economic growth of a developing third world
nation, that, heaven forbid, might gain prosperity and spend money on
Christmas gifts for their children who should remain hopeless, helpless,
and starving so they can, as Ebenezer Scrooge declared: die off and
“shrink the surplus population of the world.”

Do the Scrooges of the world Christmas shop?

Waldfogel admitted he buys his family Christmas gifts every year and would
never stop that.  It is simply that Christmas is so terribly gluttonous to
him.  Maybe that is because he has no idea, or possibly does not even
care, that for many Americans Christmas is not about gift-giving but the
gift of Christ who came to earth to be born for man.  That gift is the
reason many give to the poor: to share Christ’s love.  The Christmas
Police hate that fact most of all.

There are crazies, who beat each other up for useless toys, they are the
handful of jerks who make Christmas shopping look gluttonous, they cause
millions to shake their heads in disgust, but they don’t speak for all,
nor do they represent Christmas.

No matter how many anti-Santa’s tell Americans to stop spending and
lighting up with decorations, their message of hopelessness and
propagandist lies will never touch the hearts of those with the true
spirit of Christmas.

Light up those trees, those lights make millions happy, who can’t afford
Christmas need those lights of hope to brighten their world.

Merry Christmas and God Bless us all, everyone!
