It is extremely important for the future of the United States that business’s
of all sizes grow and prosper within our borders. They provide tax income for local and federal government. They provide jobs
which support American families. They also provide the goods and services we need to make our lives easier.
The middle class and jobs crises we are facing today began when a few large corporations were able to seduce our
legislators into giving them tax incentives to move their factories out of the country. Their goal was cheaper labor to build
their products thus increasing their profits. This was obviously very enticing to our manufactures as we have had 19 straight
months of manufacturing production decline in the United States. Not to mention the loss of over 250,000 middle class manufacturing
jobs to China last year alone.
Another consequence of moving production overseas was a dramatic
increase of the trade deficit. This means we are shipping our money out of the country, mostly to China. To make matters worse,
China along with other trading partners are cheating on our trade agreements with them. This cheating by some of the countries
we trade with is one of the reasons the dollar is crashing. Which means we are having to send even more of our money to them
to buy the same goods. You would think that the blow to the middle class of shipping thousands of jobs overseas would be enough
to satisfy the corporate elitists, but it wasn’t.
They also feel that it would be just great
if we could continue to allow millions of illegal Mexican Nationals to stay in the country to help keep wages low for actual
American citizens. The illegal Mexican National bandwagon looked so good that even medium and small companies began putting
them in their workforce as fast as they could find them.
And why not? Thanks to the corporate
elite, Republicans weren’t interested in enforcing federal immigration laws. Democrats were even less enthusiastic than
the Republicans about enforcing them. The unions that support the Democrats were looking to replace their dwindling membership
with illegal Mexican Nationals. In addition, those illegal Mexican Nationals would make great new voters for the Democratic
party if we could only get past the citizenship thing.
So here we have middle class Americans.
Losing $20 an hour manufacturing jobs only to have to compete with millions of illegal Mexican Nationals for $8 an hour service
jobs. You know, sometimes you would just like to ask our elected officials, “Who do you work for? Were you elected by
Mexican Nationals or by citizens of the United States?” Well, in case they’ve forgotten, we’re going to
remind them who they were elected by.
