Past and present government officials and legislators from both parties
in the Congress and the Senate share a common distinction. They, are all directly responsible for the crisis and problems
facing this nation. A crisis that stretches from the economy, to education, to illegal immigration, to social security, to
trade agreements that are giving our country away at an amazing rate.
They are more concerned with cutting the
other party's throat and making deals with large campaign contributors to promote their own careers than in doing what
is good for the American people. Congress and Senate need to take note. The American people are flat out disgusted with
what they've done and have no trust or faith in them.
To remind Congress and the Senate that they
are "public servants" , with the emphasis on "servants", who receive their power from us, the people.
TakeAmericaBack.org members insist the following laws and policies be enacted immediately. - For profit special
interest lobbying of legislators be made a federal crime.
- Each individual piece of legislation is voted on its
own merits, no add ons to any bill.
- All campaigns for elected federal office are funded by the government.
No outside contributions!
- The ethics committees of Congress and the Senate are to be made up of randomly selected,
non-government employed, U.S. citizens who serve for one year. The recommendations of which are to be followed, not voted
on.
- The citizen ethics committees are to have unfettered access to all committees, all meetings, all offices. As
well as, all documents coming to, leaving, or produced by Congress and the Senate or the members there of.
- The citizen
ethics committees will report to the American people once a week on the activities of the Congress and Senate.
- No
recess until the tab letter instructions from the American people have been completed.
